Every now and then people ask how my etchings are made. Perhaps you are curious too?

I take an old vinyl record. There is some nostalgia about it ‒ I used to listen to my favorite music from these records as a kid. I scratch the picture on a vinyl record using the drypoint method. What is important here is that ‒ before I use it ‒ there is a picture on the record already. The pattern of tracks. I like the beauty of this music pattern. I started doing this years ago and my first vinyl drypoint etchings were made on my favorite records. By now, all my old vinyl records are finished up.
